KAS Consulting Org Mission Statement and Values 

KAS Consulting Org operates with integrity, authenticity, transparency, innovation, accountability, and respect. These core values are honored within the organization and extend to the services provided to clients.

Trust and Safety Principles

KAS Consulting Org is dedicated to conducting business in a manner that ensures that our team and clients are treated with respect, and work in a safe environment.

  • It is an honor to support our clients who entrust us with their projects.
  • We have a duty to safeguard the free and open exchange of thoughts and ideas.
  • We care deeply for the safety of our clients and our team, in virtual meetings as well as in-person/on-site interactions.
  • We are committed to providing our clients a safe environment to share ideas, be creative, express concerns, and collaborate on solutions.

Abuse

KAS Consulting Org will not engage in the targeted harassment of people or protected groups, nor encourage others to do so. There is a zero-tolerance policy if clients (including members and vendors of the organization) behave in abusive behavior. We consider abusive behavior as an attempt to harass, intimidate, or silence someone else’s voice. Clients that do so will have their contract terminated, will be required to pay immediately for services rendered by KAS Consulting Org plus on-site fees, and a $10,000 violation fee is due immediately upon termination of the contract.

Hateful Conduct

Clients may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass members of KAS Consulting Org on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, economic status, housing status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or medical condition. We reserve the right to consider and add additional categories. Clients are forbidden to abuse or threaten KAS Consulting Org and our partners. Clients that do so will have their contract terminated, will be required to pay immediately for services rendered by KAS Consulting Org plus on-site fees, and a $10,000 violation fee is due immediately upon termination of the contract.

Moreover, KAS Consulting Org refuses to do business with organizations that promote violence against, threaten, or harass people and/or groups on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, economic status, housing status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or medical condition.

Hateful Conduct Policy

KAS Consulting Org has a zero tolerance policy toward hateful conduct. If a client engages in hateful conduct (including but not limited to sharing or sending hateful imagery, making violent threats, targeting others with hateful or abusive speech, and/or encouraging anyone else to do those things), the client’s contract will be terminated, and the client will be required to pay immediately for services rendered by KAS Consulting Org plus on-site fees, and a $10,000 violation fee is due immediately upon termination of the contract.

KAS Consulting Org defines hateful conduct as follows:

  • Conduct that promotes violence against or directly attacks or threatens people and/or groups on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, economic status, housing status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or medical condition. We will not allow access to KAS Consulting Org services to those who have used or intend to use it for the purpose of inciting harm towards others on the basis of these categories.
  • Hateful imagery including logos, symbols, or images with the purpose to promote hostility and malice against others based on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, economic status, housing status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or medical condition. Hateful imagery includes but is not limited to:
    • Symbols historically associated with hate groups 
    • Images depicting people as animals and/or less than human, or altered to include hateful symbols
    • Images altered to include hateful symbols or references to mass murder
    • Depictions, designs, appropriation, and any use of the Confederate flag (also referred to as the rebel flag)
  • Violent threats include declarative statements of intent to inflict injuries that would result in death or serious and lasting bodily harm. Hateful and abusive speech has no place in KAS Consulting Org, and has no business in activities conducted with KAS Consulting Org and our clients. 

Glorification of Violence

Clients may not use any assets provided by KAS Consulting Org to abuse or threaten anyone. KAS Consulting Org reserves the right to refuse service to any client and organizations that promote and/or engage in violence against, threaten, or harass people and/or groups on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, economic status, housing status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or medical condition. KAS Consulting Org also reserves the right to deny service to any client affiliated with organizations that promote and/or engage in violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, economic status, housing status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or medical condition.

Illegal or Certain Regulated Goods or Services

Clients may not use KAS Consulting Org projects, services, and/or platforms to promote, trade, or engage in the following:

  • Counterfeit goods and services
  • Drugs and controlled substances
  • Human smuggling or trafficking
  • Products made from endangered or protected species
  • Sexual services
  • Gambling, betting or wagering activities
  • Unauthorized multi-level marketing businesses
  • Stolen goods
  • Content related to weapons – including firearms, ammunition, and explosives – that takes place outside of a safe and controlled environment. Clients may not use KAS Consulting Org projects and services and assets for content related to homemade weapons, including bombs, 3D printed guns, etc. Clients also may not use KAS Consulting Org services and assets to engage with weapons in a way that violates KAS Consulting Org policies.

Sensitive Content Policy

Sensitive content is prohibited in KAS Consulting Org projects, including but not limited to assets, digital and print materials, and resources. Exceptions are listed below.

There is no place on KAS Consulting Org for certain sensitive content, including graphic violence, adult content, gratuitous gore, hateful imagery, and child sexual exploitation material.

  • KAS Consulting Org defines graphic violence as media that depicts death, violence, or serious physical injury in graphic detail. Examples include:
    • Violent crimes or accidents
    • Physical fights
    • Physical child abuse
    • Bodily fluids including blood*, feces, and semen
    • Serious physical harm, including visible wounds
    • Severely injured or mutilated animals

* Exception for blood when depicted in a medical capacity for training, educational, and reference purposes.

  • KAS Consulting Org defines adult content as any media that is pornographic or intended to be sexually gratifying, whether photo or video, cartoon or animated. 
  • KAS Consulting Org defines gratuitous gore as any media that depicts excessively graphic or gruesome content related to death, violence or severe physical harm, or violent content that is shared for sadistic purposes. Examples include:
    • Dismembered or mutilated humans
    • Charred or burned human remains
    • Exposed internal organs or bones**
    • Animal torture or killing 

** Exception for bone when depicted in a medical capacity for training, educational, and reference purposes.

  • KAS Consulting Org defines child sexual exploitation material is any content that depicts or promotes sexual abuse or activity with children. Some examples include:
    • Visual depictions of a child engaging in sexually explicit or sexually suggestive acts
    • Illustrated, computer-generated or other forms of realistic depictions of a human child in a sexually explicit context, or engaging in sexually explicit acts
    • Sexualized commentaries about or directed at a known or unknown minor
    • Links to third-party sites that host child sexual exploitation material
    • Sharing fantasies about or promoting engagement in child sexual exploitation
    • Expressing a desire to obtain materials that feature child sexual exploitation
    • Recruiting, advertising or expressing an interest in a commercial sex act involving a child, or in harboring and/or transporting a child for sexual purposes
    • Sending sexually explicit media to a child
    • Engaging or trying to engage a child in a sexually explicit conversation
    • Trying to obtain sexually explicit media from a child or trying to engage a child in sexual activity through blackmail or other incentives
    • Identifying alleged victims of childhood sexual exploitation by name or image
  • If a violation is related to child sexual exploitation material is discovered before, during, or after conducting business with KAS Consulting Org, KAS Consulting Org will make a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children or other entities as required by law. Where warranted, KAS Consulting Org will report the violation to law enforcement.

If a client violates the Sensitive Content Policy, the client will have their contract terminated, will be required to pay immediately for services rendered by KAS Consulting Org plus on-site fees, and a $10,000 violation fee is due immediately upon termination of the contract.

Suicide or Self-harm

Clients may not promote or encourage suicide or self-harm. If a client voices concern that they may harm themselves and/or others, or knows of a team member within the organization that may be a danger to themselves or others, KAS Consulting Org will provide resources to the client and/or their team member(s) to ensure that they are provided with support.

Violent Extremist Groups

KAS Consulting Org reserves the right to refuse conducting business with clients that affiliate with organizations that use or promote violence against civilians to further their causes, either while conducting business with KAS Consulting Org, within the client’s own organization, and/or if the client and/or members of the client’s team is found to be involved with violent extremist groups.

Terrorism and Violent Extremism Policy

KAS Consulting Org has a zero-tolerance policy for terrorism and threats of violence, and has the right to refuse service to clients who affiliate with terrorist and violent groups, and/or promote terrorism and violence.

KAS Consulting Org defines terrorist groups and extremist groups as such:

  • Terrorist organizations are those groups subject to national and international terrorism designations.
  • Violent extremist groups are those groups that:
    • Identify through their stated purpose, publications, or actions as an extremist group
    • Have engaged in, or currently engage in, violence and/or the promotion of violence as a means to further their cause
    • Target civilians in their acts and/or promotion of violence
    • Unlawfully detain civilians 
    • Promote genocide, murder, and/or harmful actions toward specific groups 
  • KAS Consulting Org vets clients to determine whether clients engage in and/or promote violence against civilians to advance a political, religious and/or social cause
  • Some specific examples of prohibited conduct under this policy:
    • Engaging in or promoting acts on behalf of a terrorist organization or violent extremist group
    • Recruiting for a terrorist organization or violent extremist group
    • Providing or distributing services (e.g., financial, media/propaganda) to further a terrorist organization’s or violent extremist group’s stated goals
    • Using the insignia or symbols of terrorist organizations or violent extremist groups to promote them
    • Supporting terrorist organizations and/or violent extremist groups
    • Conducting business with any entities/organizations illegally detaining civilians
    • Conducting business with entities/organizations involved in the construction of unlawful detention centers (aka concentration camps)
  • If a client violates this policy, the client will be banned from services provided by KAS Consulting Org moving forward, and clients on contract will have their contract terminated, will be required to pay immediately for services rendered by KAS Consulting Org plus on-site fees, and a $10,000 violation fee is due immediately upon termination of the contract.

Private information

Clients may not post private information about KAS Consulting Org team members, affiliates, and/or other clients without their express permission, or threaten to do so, or try to get others to do so. KAS Consulting Org has a zero-tolerance policy against doxxing. Clients that doxx team members of KAS Consulting Org’s team, affiliates, and/or other clients will have their contract terminated, will be required to pay immediately for services rendered by KAS Consulting Org plus on-site fees, and a $10,000 violation fee is due immediately upon termination of the contract. 

Private information can include but is not limited to:

  • Home address or physical location information, including street addresses
  • GPS coordinates or other identifying information related to locations that are considered private
  • Identity documents, including government-issued IDs and social security or other national identity numbers
  • Private photo images 
  • Contact information, including non-public personal phone numbers or email addresses
  • Financial account information, including bank account and credit card details
  • Medical status, biometric data or medical records.

Spamming, spoofing, and spread of malware

Clients may not use KAS Consulting Org services for spamming purposes, nor to use KAS Consulting Org and/or KAS Consulting Org’s resources for spoofing, scamming, and/or the spread of malware. If a client violates this policy, the client will be banned from services provided by KAS Consulting Org moving forward, have their contract terminated, will be required to pay immediately for services rendered by KAS Consulting Org plus on-site fees, and a $10,000 violation fee is due immediately upon termination of the contract. 

Copyright, trademark, defamation, right of publicity, and impersonation

Clients may not upload or distribute content into projects in progress and/or completed by KAS Consulting Org that a client does not have a right to transmit under any law, including trademark and copyright law, or under contractual or fiduciary relationships. Clients also may not use KAS Consulting Org’s platform and projects to defame others, impersonate anyone, or use another’s name or image without their permission. 

  • Copyright is a form of legal protection for original works, like books, movies, photos and music. Copyright law prevents others from copying or displaying another’s work without permission subject to a few exceptions, most commonly fair use. “Fair use” is typically a use for criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research.
  • A trademark is a word, logo, phrase, or design that distinguishes a trademark owner’s good or service in the marketplace. Trademark law prevents someone from using a trademark to confuse others about whether a product or service is authentic, or to suggest that there is a relationship with the trademark owner when there is not.
  • Defamation (slander/libel) is to make false statements about someone that damage that person’s reputation.
  • The “right of publicity” is using someone else’s name, persona, or image for marketing or advertising purposes without their permission.
  • Impersonation is pretending to be someone a client, team members  and/or associates are not.

If a client violates this policy, the client will be banned from services provided by KAS Consulting Org moving forward, and clients on contract will have their contract terminated, will be required to pay immediately for services rendered by KAS Consulting Org plus on-site fees, and a $10,000 violation fee is due immediately upon termination of the contract. 

Use of generative AI

KAS Consulting Org prohibits the use of generative AI for any products, services, assets and/or resources for any projects in progress and/or completed by KAS Consulting Org. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Using generative AI to generate photos, videos, sounds/music added to projects started and/or completed by KAS Consulting Org
  • Using generative AI to evaluate and produce frameworks, workflows, and/or processes that have been produced and shared by KAS Consulting Org for any projects in progress and/or completed for clients
  • Using generative AI to produce additional content for a project in progress and/or completed project produced by KAS Consulting Org for the client

KAS Consulting Org is dedicated to preserving creative integrity and intellectual property for content, artwork, music, coding, proprietary information, literature, research, processes, and more. KAS Consulting Org does not use generative AI and has a zero-tolerance policy for generative AI to be used and/or included in any projects worked on and completed for clients. If a client violates this policy during and/or after completing a project with KAS Consulting Org, the client will be banned from services provided by KAS Consulting Org moving forward, and clients on contract will have their contract terminated, will be required to pay immediately for services rendered by KAS Consulting Org plus on-site fees, and a $10,000 violation fee is due immediately upon termination of the contract.
